DESCRIPTION:

Come learn how to play chess with National Master Bela Kis, former PA State Quick Champion, winner of the World Open U2200, and winner of Las Vegas Chess Festival U2300. Bela teaches chess full time at New Hope Academy and has led their Chess Team.  Under his guidance the team has won the Pa State Championship and placed third in the National Scholastic Championship (K-12).

Students will need to create a free account at www.chess.com that will be used in the virtual classes.  Students will also need to have a basic understanding on the names of the chess pieces and how they move.  They can learn that at this site if they do not know.  https://lichess.org/learn#/
