Book Fair Info and How to Fund Your Students Book Fair Account!

Hello Edgewood Families,

Let’s get excited for the In-Person Scholastic Fall Book Fair!! After missing out on many beloved traditions, our Fall Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Reading for pleasure unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. Scholastic offers a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.

Book Fair Dates: Monday, September 20th through Friday, September 24th

Family Night (shop with your child): Wednesday, September 22nd from 6 to 8pm

Each student will go to the Fall Book Fair during their library special that week. If you would like your child to purchase books, please set up an EWallet, a payment option offered through Scholastic. Instructions on how to set one up are available on our Book Fair website. You may also send in cash or a check made out to “Edgewood PTO” with him/her to school on that day. Once again, this year we will be charging 6% sales tax on all purchases, so please take this into consideration when sending money in for your child. We ask students to bring their own bag to carry their purchases.

The Edgewood Book Fair Website: Visit our homepage to browse available books and to sign up for eWallet!

Volunteers: We need helpers for the week. Volunteers need to have their clearances on file with the school and will be required to wear a mask. Please use this SignUp Genius to volunteer.

All for Books means books for all: This year, we will once again participate in the All for Books program. We will be asking students to bring in change that will be collected in their classrooms. Monday 9/20 – Pennies, Tuesday 9/21 – Nickels, Wednesday 9/22 – Dimes, Thursday 9/23 – Quarters, Friday 9/24 – Dollars and/or All Coins. Not only do these donations help purchase books for our school, but Scholastic Book Fairs® will match monetary donations with a donation of up to $1 million in books from The Scholastic Possible Fund, which distributes books to children in need. The classroom that collects the most money will get to select $25 in books from the Book Fair for their classroom.

We also invite you to help build our classroom libraries by purchasing books and donating them to your child’s teacher through the Classroom Wish List Program. These lists will be available all week and during Family Night.

We’re excited to celebrate our love of books together at the Fall Book Fair. We look forward to seeing your child there!
