Edgewood Spring Play - Lion King, Jr

Important note from the PTO Board and Directors

Thank you for your patience as we discussed how to manage the overwhelming interest in the Edgewood performance of The Lion King Kids.  To accommodate more students, we have decided to have two casts of twenty (40 children total) who will rehearse together but perform separately.  This is the highest number that is manageable for our all-volunteer directors and support staff.

As of today, we have 40 children signed up for the play. We will be auditioning everyone on the current sign-up, including those on the waitlist. Auditions are scheduled to decide parts and not for selection - all students currently registered will receive a role in the play (speaking or ensemble). Next week, we will be reaching out to those signed-up to ensure those signed up can meet rehearsal requirements and parent volunteer requirements.

We have created a new waitlist (click here) which will be used in case currently registered students decide not to participate. This sign-up also includes a sign-up for 5th-grader students interested in stage crew.

We appreciate your understanding as we navigated this process for the first time and will make changes in future theater offerings for students to make the process clearer.

We are once again funding field day t-shirts for our entire student community. You have the option of adding your child's name to the shirt for an additional $5. Shirts for teachers, parents, and non-student siblings are also available for sale by clicking here.

2nd and 3rd Grade Buddy Breakfast - February 2

Please join us for our annual 2nd and 3rd Grade Buddy Breakfast Event.  This event is a time where your child and his/her "Adult buddy of choice" are invited to come eat breakfast and have some fun while getting to know the other children and adults in the second and third grade classes.

Please click here (or use the QR code above) RSVP to let us know if you plan to attend (and how many in your party), and take a look at the volunteer opportunities if you are interested in helping out with the event.
