Edgewood MLK Day Service Initiative

As announced in Principal Hultquist's January 2 email, Edgewood will be honoring Dr. Martin Luther King's incredible legacy of service through our district elementary schools 6th annual collaborative Day of Service donation and collection initiative. Edgewood will be collecting items for a variety of needs, services, and community partners.

This year, our PTO will be assisting the district with collections. Please view the list below and drop off any donations to the glass corridor through January 12, 2024 or bring your donations (and consider staying to help sort) on January 15 from 9am-11:30am.

Thank you for your support and generosity!

Announcing our Edgewood Cafe Capital Campaign Project

Last year, we mentioned we were foregoing our normal fall fundraiser and focusing fundraising this school year on a special capital campaign to support our school community.

We are excited to announce the launch of our capital campaign project fundraiser, which aims to raise funds for the renovation of our outdoor dining area, Café Edgewood. The project will cost $10,000 to create a safe, secure, and long-lasting cafe for our school community.

As you know, Café Edgewood is an essential part of our school, providing our students with the ability to get fresh air and dine outside during their lunch period. However, our current equipment, which was installed during the pandemic, is showing its age and needs to be replaced. We need your help to make this happen.

With your donation, no matter how big or small, we will have a more permanent space installed which includes retaining walls to expand the usable area, a seating wall and heavy-duty seating and table options.

To make a donation, please click on the link below or click here to visit our fundraising page or you can send cash or check through the envelope which will be sent home with your child in coming weeks. We will share our progress towards this campaign in the PATW and more details (including design visuals) in coming weeks.

We appreciate your support and look forward to working together to make Café Edgewood an even better area for our students.
